Blog Hoarder has been up and running since February 2020 and it was only natural to push it as far as it can go. The website started as a simple blog site and then morphed into a place to host the works of people more talented than myself.
The anthology book series is yet another arm to grab the public with and feed them the art they crave.
The first book will be a collection of 10 short stories each 2,500 to 5,000 words.
The working title is "Fiction Junkie vol 1" but I'm still brainstorming better ideas and if you have one leave it in the comments.
Selected works will receive a payment of $20 and a copy of the book in exchange for non-exclusive rights to the story.
All genres are welcome for the first volume but in the future, I would like to have genre-specific volumes like a horror or comedy anthology.
A poetry book could be in the cards as well as a picture book of cartoons from up and coming illustrators. The possibilities seem to be endless and I'm anxious to see how many people end up submitting their work.
If you are reading this and you are thinking about submitting or already have, please know that a rejection doesn't reflect you as a writer. Rejection is a massive part of the process and I apologize if I pick someone else's work over yours but it simply must be done.
This first anthology is open to Canadian writers only however that will change in the near future.
The books will be sold on Amazon in both e-book and paperback format.
