Nyny Comante

In his youth and just discovering the world of music, teen aged Nyny Comante from Ontario, Canada is using his computer and his heart to create and share his new found talent. With a distinct sense of timing and rhythm, this almost “Atoms For Peace” sounding experiment is a phenomenal addition to your music collection.

With no prior experience or training this computer wiz is showing everyone young and old what is now possible with the advancement of the internet and the tools it has provided all walks of life.

This artist is new, fresh and just venturing out onto the path of his life, which shows in his work. Everything about it screams future memorabilia of a Canadian star. He doesn’t know it yet, but Nyny Comante is going to be a major player in the Canadian club music scene once he’s old enough to enter an establishment that sells alcohol.

After first discovering what is possible on programs like “soundtrap” in 2018, his first project came to life the following year and has a surprising professionalism to it, which is almost strange knowing Nyny did it all himself. His work is radio ready and produces a laid back vibe, ready to influence the next generation about to be spring boarded into the worlds relevance and mainstream.

I asked the budding musician a few questions.

If you had to describe your music without using the words new, fresh, or original, how would you describe it?

Calm, inspiring or upbeat, something along those lines.

Are you working on anything right now?

Yes, I am working on lots right now, I've got a few new singles coming out in the next couple months. My first EP, as well as my second album, are both in the works.

What kind of equipment do you use?

I work on a dingy old Chromebook mostly. I use my midi keyboard and mic but that's about it.

If you had one word to describe your generation to us older readers what would it be?

One word to describe this generation: dumb. There are obviously some people that will grow up and do great things but most youngster millennials are dumb.

You listed your influences as Billy Eilish, Chris Punsalan. Be honest, have you ever heard of Muddy Waters?

No, I have not heard of Muddy Waters. Some sort of 80s Billie Eilish or something?

Do you play any traditional instruments?

Yes as a matter of fact I do. I play electric bass, some guitar. And I'm trying to teach myself piano.

Art comes in an infinite amount of forms but no matter the medium, instrument or area of expertise. Every song, every painting or poem all belong to the same collective, the same existence birthed from creativity and passion. Plato called it the realm of forms, a place where ideas exist in a way more real than the world we live in.

Everything is always changing, moving and evolving. Music is no different, artists like Nyny Comante prove that.

With a new style, Comante uses technology to create his art and is contributing to the change in the way we make, share and experience music.
